Why We Started
After Hurricane Helene devastated Spruce Pine and surrounding counties, many families were without homes, power and water. The Sibelco Spruce Pine Foundation was established to provide immediate relief and focus on long-term community resilience. Who We Are
The Sibelco Spruce Pine Foundation Fund is a philanthropic initiative administered through the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina. The fund partners with local nonprofits and community leaders to support initiatives that strengthen communities across Mitchell, Avery, and Yancey counties. Through strategic investments and collaboration, the foundation helps advance long-term opportunity and resilience throughout the region. Our Focus Areas
